Cobalt Blue

Adore the bookcases in this room and the aged leather, the rustic table and the burlap fabric on the chase lounge.

As I’ve said many times in this blog I love colors and one color that’s been buzzing right in my ears, closer than usual, is Cobalt Blue.  It could be light or dark but without a doubt the dark tone is more powerful.  I would love to paint a library or a TV room in this color and pair it with white.  A lot of contrast and impact.

In this room cobalt blue is pared with chic and young pink and white.

The cobalt walls in this elegant room is brightened up with lots of furniture upholstered in white, light carpet and big statement art. Design by Eric Cohler and Jennifer Mason.

I love the bold statement that this dark blue color makes in this all white bathroom.

What I love the most about this vibrant colour is that it's so elegant too. I've been looking for a pair of cobalt suede shoes, how they could transform an outfit! 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend, Julie!

Hi Julie, I have been enjoying your blog since I found it a little while ago. I look at a lot of blogs and have many favourites, but rarely *read* them. Yours I read. I really enjoy how you write and of course what you have to say about design. I am also drawn to your blog because I suspect you are Dominican (I dug a little after you used the word "mami" on a few of your posts). I was born and raised in Santo Domingo (Dominican mother, Canadian father) and have been living in Canada now for 23 years with my husband and 3 children. I miss my country and feel elated whenever I find a connection to it. Encantada de haberte encontrado! Felicidades por tu blog, que por lo que puedo ver es muy popular y respetado.
    Saludos, Sandra
